Welcome to the Happy Campers! We're a group of (mostly) Austin-area camping enthusiasts, with members statewide. We started in September 2006, and have been camping at least once a month since then.
Please take a few minutes to explore this website. The "About Us" link on the left provides more details - who we are, how we plan, where we go, etc.
The "Messages" link, also on the left, is the key to all our activities and interaction. Anyone can post a question or suggestion. Although you can contact an organizer personally, chances are that somebody else may be thinking the same thing, so by posting on the board, you'll be helping somebody else, too. Feel free to scroll back through past events to see how we collaborate.
Also on the message board at the top are policies about children, pets, reservations, and more. We're generally child-friendly and dog-friendly, depending on the venue, which is discussed in advance.
We do expect you to participate, even if it's just logging into the website, at least once every 90 days.
If you answer some basic questions in the profile, we can see who has what interests, whether single camping or camping with families, etc.

Our next MeetupSocial get-together/trip planning meeting
Let's plan carpooling for the next day's day trip together at the Dog and Duck Pub. I'll be there early to hold down a couple of tables outside. Look for red-and-white Meetup signs on the table, and a bunch of friendly folks.
