Introduction

Haven't seemed to have the time to get to most of the Meet-ups, I certainly try! At least I can read the notices... [How sad...]

Favorite camping style? Roughing it or at your leisure?

Ohhh, roughing it, certainly. I'm usually glad just to be "out", and hate to trouble in "getting away from it all" by taking 3/4s of it with me.

Favorite camping item or equipment?

A good foam pad for sleeping; a filled water bottle; or my best alcohol stove (homemade); or a GoreTex parka shell; or a baseball cap; or a Tikka headlamp; or lithium batteries; a tiny digital camera that does everything short of giving back rubs; a map; a spoon... (How much space do we have?)

Favorite place to go?

This is hard... 1) Kancamagus Hwy, NH. 2) Big Creek, GSMNP 3) Springer Mtn, GA 4) Housatonic Mdws State Park, CT 5) Lander WY {the city park! No lie!} 6) Saratoga Springs, WY 7) Gorham Reservoir, NH 8) That gorge near Rutland VT with the Appalachian Trail crossing a suspension foot bridge 9) The point that sticks out into Lake Monroe in the Deam Wilderness 10) ...
